Manufacturing
Our modern manufacturing plants are specifically designed to cater for the requirements of the South African retailers. Our design facility is fully computerized and communicates with the electronic jacquard weaving machines. The majority of our weaving machines are modern airjet looms which provide maximum efficiency and versatility. Our preparation area has been upgraded over the last couple of years to be able to meet the quality requirements of the modern weaving plant. Our dyehouse consists of computer controlled dyeing and finishing machines which enables us to meet the markets requirements for high quality colours and finishes. The equipment is capable of dyeing with reactive or vat dyes. In the final finishing operation, a balanced combination of automated cutting and hemming and manual operators, gives us the necessary skills and versatility to deliver a finished product that meets our valued customers’ expectations.
As we at Colibri recognize that in today’s competitive market one can only compete effectively when equipped with the latest technology, the Colibri board implemented a policy, 7 years ago, of continuous upgrading of technology.

Distribution
Colibri delivers directly to major retailers in South Africa and distributes to other clients through agents. Some products, not conducive to being produced in South Africa, are imported to cater for the full terry needs of our customers. Colibri regularly exports to countries in Europe.

Our manufacturing operation is an ISO 9002 accredited facility. Colibri’s attention to detail and care ensures a product of the highest quality & standard. Designers travel internationally and contact major international sites to obtain the latest trends. Because Colibri understands the need for uniqueness, we ensure exclusive designs and handwriting for each customer.
